TURKISH DELIGHT SWITCHING AT IRMAK The Turkish National Railways rostered a great variety of steam locomotives, mostly of British, German and American origin, right until the 1970s. With varied terrain and scenic panoramas, photography was a pleasure along its lines. Irmak was one of the larger steam centers even as diesels were taking over other regions. The regular yard shifter there was a German 0-10-0, No. 50007, shown making up a train on the morning of November 6, 1972.
